Question:
I'm realizing that I can have all control over my income and future, instead of just finding the right company to work for, but I'm not sure "what I know". How do I identify my strengths and pick a topic for creating my information products and services?
Answer From Melanie Jordan, Everybody's Infopreneur Coach:
The first step toward determining your infopreneur topic of expertise that should be used to develop your information products, is to look at some of your strengths and likes.
1. Think of things you know something about/would consider a field of expertise.
2. For each thing you come up with, look at it in more detail, and think about if you were going to teach it to someone else through an information product or service, which do you believe would have value to others that they would be willing to pay for.
3. What other resources out there already exist for teaching others about this topic, and what can you offer to add to what's out there--do you have a different style, would you offer information in a different format, do you have other information on the topic at least in part that others don't, etc.
Keep kicking it around for a bit until at least three things strike you as a good possibility.
I have detailed guidance about this in my forthcoming infopreneur book, which will be released by mid-month, and I hope you'll make the small investment to give yourself full access to my unique ideas and the information you need to get rolling with your information products and services correctly. Subscribers to my e-mail list will get the first opportunity to buy the book, as well as a subscriber-only discount and bonuses. CLICK HERE to join my subscriber list.
You also get the chance to to ask me questions about infopreneuring or marketing, as one of the special perks that my
list subscribers receive, and
access to my subscriber-only free infopreneur teleseminar series which kicks off soon and goes into lots more detail than I can in my infopreneur blog.
I congratulate you for taking a good look at your situation and realizing that it is possible to take control of your life and income and to create the future you want for you and your family. Infopreneuring can start as a sideline and either supplement your current income, or perhaps replace it one day.
Happy Infopreneuring!
