While it takes some effort, a great way to get free traffic to your web site or blog every single day if you write well, is to answer a couple of questions on an authority site related to your topic, or the people you want to network with every day.
Answering questions can help you accomplish 3 very important things as an infopreneur: 1. a free back link to your blog or web site to help with SEO 2. an opportunity to establish your credibility and personality with new audiences 3. an opportunity to get free traffic from the initial group of readers who see your answer, additional readers who read the question and answer over time and those who see your answer picked up by a search engine. Another bonus is that by participating and answering questions on such sites, you often get a whole profile page usually with multiple links to your other sites that people will check when they want to know who gave that great answer, and possibly special status. And often you can mention your information product or service or leave an additional link in the answer as long as you really are being helpful. For example, you can do this with social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook, Yahoo Answers (especially if your audience is not business-oriented), LinkedIn and there's probably an authoritative specialty site you can also be involved with. I was recently elevated to "Health Maven" status at a site I regularly answer questions on called Wellsphere.com. I participate since it's well-marketed and I have a book on healthy eating called Have Your Cheeseburger And Keep Your Health Too! with another work on healthy lifestyles coming out later in 2009.
