Question:
I do teleseminars, would a podcast be better? If so, why?
Answer From Melanie Jordan, Everybody's Infopreneur Coach:
It's not so much that a podcast is any better or any worse than a teleseminar; it's just another way of delivering your knowledge to your target market. In my opinion, you should have both to appeal to different attention spans and levels of interest.
A podcast usually is a lot shorter--typically 5-10 minutes, sometimes as much as 20 minutes. Most teleseminars run about an hour.
The podcast is usually an ongoing series that's perceived as a show (in fact I often refer to it with people new to the podcast concept as my internet radio show), except as the controller and creator of your information, you can't get canceled by the short-sighted networks! A teleseminar is often just a one-time event, a once a month event or perhaps a few weeks in duration. For example, my free infopreneur podcast What You Know Is Worth More Than You Know(TM), The Podcast is ongoing with a new episode every week on Mondays.
A podcast can also be distributed via some unique delivery mechanisms that are only open to podcasters. However, you can edit down your teleseminar, or divide it into multiple podcast episodes if you like--no need to reinvent the wheel!
Either a podcast or a teleseminar can be free or paid content--and you need both types of offerings.
Both a podcast and teleseminar will also help you establish a more personal connection with your audience as they hear your voice including your emotion and passion for your topic that doesn't always come through in writing The teleseminar can be more interactive if you choose to do so by inviting live questions.
I do my infopreneur podcast as an ongoing, entertaining introduction to all of my infopreneur and marketing expertise. My free infopreneur teleseminar series is going to be a subscriber invitation-only event to reward those who are more serious followers and customers of mine with the longer-form and more in-depth content. Everyone can access my infopreneur podcast (at least for now) What You Know Is Worth More Than You Know(TM), The Podcast, only those at least willing to give me their e-mail address will get access to the teleseminars.
You have to determine your marketing and information product and service strategy and plan, but that's my two cents on it. Thanks for your question!
And now I'd like to invite you to invite you to get access to some free teleseminar training videos from my mentor Alex Mandossian, and find out how to get $1279.95 worth of personal coaching and training bonuses directly from me to launch or improve your teleseminar series with my exclusive Teleseminar Secrets Bonus at http://www.MyTeleseminarSecret.com.
