Hi All,
Here's a tale of two high-ticket teleseminar training programs I took about a year ago. Both were the most expensive events I had ever signed up for in my life offered from well-known, respected people in their fields. I was sparing no expense to make the investment in myself. It was time to fill in the missing pieces that I had not learned on my own in the hottest, newest topics out there that could benefit both myself and my clients.
So how were they? One teleseminar offering left me feeling ripped off for many reasons. The expert trainer's content ended up being weak in actually delivering on the promise of what I would learn, he was stingy with his Q&A time and often mocked the questions of those who asked them, and one of the important bonuses used as an incentive to get people to sign up has not been delivered still after several months of back pedaling.
The other teleseminar was honestly a joy to be part of. The expert was fun, down-to-earth, engaging and a super motivator. He and his co-facilitator encouraged our interactivity, and regularly let us plug our websites on his recordings when asking questions. In addition to the original, regularly-scheduled 2 hour module sessions offered, with an additional FAQ session later each week, after each week's main session, we took a 15-minute break and had an unadvertised 2-3 hour Q & A session that same night as well!
We got about 15 extra hours of that expert's time over the course of that training program, and he never stopped answering questions each time until he got to them all. I had never experienced an expert ever being so beyond generous with their time.
So when the next offering from each of these people came about, what did I do? Let's see one person left me feeling ripped off, the other left me inspired and wowed. And as a NYC native, I don't wow easily.
Of course I passed on the next offering of the class that left me cold with disappointment and I refuse to ever participate in any offerings by the trainer and the company who promoted the original event ever. On the other hand, I was one of the first people to sign up for the next mega program from the expert who had wowed me and over-delivered. For his third offering he had me at hello.
The expert I am referencing who wowed me in this piece is Alex Mandossian.
Moral Of The Story: Absolutely under promise and over deliver on your teleseminar trainings, and wow people with your generosity as well!
